Since 2006, Upington is fortunate enough to have a well-functioning Renal Dialysis Unit. The Renal Unit is housed in Upington Mediclinic and is managed by Sister Marlene Bergh, assisted by Sister Magdie Burger.
The Renal Dialysis Unit serves a population in an area of about a 400km radius.
